Hi Guys, I had a MP40 on order on the net. I have cancelled due to a number of delivery issues.
So it has given my some time to consider my original choice. I am aware that the MP10 is a nice bit of gear but my little 16 gallon tank being failrly full and the mp 10 not being able to be positioned with the flow being anything but 90Deg from a surface of my glass I am limited in my placement and direction of flow.

After a great deal of consideration I think I have settled on the Tunze Turbelle Nanostream 6040 with Controller (200-4,500L/h)
I think it will give me more options to fine tune the placement and direction of flow as can utilise deflecting the flow from a tank surface because of the ability to articulate the wavemakng head.
Has anyone on here have any experience with this wavemaker and care to share?

I used two on my 22g nano and loved them. I controlled them with my apex, so the programming was endless. Only issue with using the apex and the variable speed port was the minimum intensity was around 30-33% before they would kick on, but not really not an issue for me. I loved how I could change the flow without having to move them a lot, but just adjusting the flow deflector a little or rotating them in place. They are super easy to clean too, just pull the impeller out, use a bottle brush inside, rinse, done. If you need help programming them (if you have an apex) I can send you all the programming you'll need.
I still have both of them and will keep them until they stop working, which will probably be a long time from now. Tunze pumps are made to last for years and years.
I think you made the right choice.

Here's an old pic with them in action on my 22g. Sorry, this was before I had a gel filter for my phone.

I recently had to send one of my gyres in for repair and I used both of the 6040's together on that side and the flow was great. I couldn't have used mp10's on my 1/2" glass, but the Tunze's did the job.

I use a 6040 on my standard 10g and combined with the AC30 and the XPAQUA sumpless ATO it provides a good amount of flow. I have it near the lowest setting and my LPS, Zoas and Ricordea seem to like it.
