Has anyone else purchased and started using this pump for ATO yet?

It seems to be working well and is super quiet, but my only concern is that instead of a steady stream, the water seems to be pulsing. I can hear it shooting into my sump in small bursts. Is that normal operation?

For anyone else the fix was turn up the dial inside the controller to like 12pm and it pumped like it should.

Thank you for this post. Just replaced my original design pump with one of these and it was pulsing. Had my controller on minimum. Dailing it up was the fix.

@rvitko what is the minimum dial setting for the pump to run? I didn't really test it, I only tried it at 12 o'clock. I had my controller on minimum since it's only a 40-gallon AIO.

I really like the new pump. It's quieter and just ran, no messing with priming. Which is a bit of a pain for me due to the container I'm using. It's a 2-gallon water jug with a small opening. I actually had to cut the opening to get the new pump in, which was not an issue.

I ran a test, and the pump did not run until the dial got to ~1/4 of its range (~10 o'clock position). I left it slightly above this position.

Maybe this for the new one
Nope, that's for distances over 3 meters and head pressure adjustments. I really don't know what you're trying to accomplish? This isn't even the manual for the Turbelle High Jet. This pump didn't even exist when the Osmolator was released, so you're not going to find it in that manual.

Here is the response from Tunze on this:
Hi @rvitko, I have a 3155 and replaced the pump with a high jet. Since I have a small tank, I had it set on nano. The high jet pump would not run until the dial got to ~1/4 of its range (~10 o'clock position). I left it slightly above this position.

No issues, just wondering if that is that expected operation with the high jet and 5017 controller?

Thank you
Yes, that is normal, the High Jet is not a voltage dimmed pump like the original pump, which was a simple DC brush motor so speed was on a 9-12V range, the High Jet needs 12V and converts that to a PWM signal like a typical DC powerhead, the voltage it can work on is a lot tighter.

Sorry, just trying to help . I missed the part you don’t have an osmolator.
I do have an Osmolator. I'm saying that the new, upgraded pump requires an internal adjustment in the Osmolator control board which is not indicated on the new pump installation guide, not the Osmolator manual. This isn't even my thread. This is what OP and the rest of us have all been talking about.

I don't know how better to explain it to you, but you seem to be missing something. Reread the thread from the beginning.
