Just wondering, I feed a lot because of breeding clownfish, skimmer and weekly water change is not enough for this, so do you think uv light can help me to kill those algae? Like brown algae?

no but turning your lights on less will help.
and if your breeding clownfish your should be doing lots of water changes.

The turbo twist is not in overly effective UV unit, and has a built-in downside of being very prone to the internal reflector completely rusting over after a year of use. I've dismantled two of them, that were completely coated internally with rust, just an fyi.

but I have toadstool, hammer, gsp and rose bubble tip anemone is it okay to lessen my light like 8 hrs a day?

oh okay this is not nice for me, I'll do water change then and will lessen my lights up to 8 hrs a day

ya if your getting algae..best way to kill it is to starve it a bit. do you use rodi water, something is feeding the algae

you might want to research GFO if your looking for a quick chemical based solution.,

How long has the tank been established? Is the algae issue concurrent with the new tank uglies,or a long running battle?

If nutrients are your issue, a refugium with macro algae can go a long way in helping out complete others.

For nutrients issues, less in or more out.

What are your nitrates and phosphates testing at?

It’s 8 months and it’s a breeding tank of my clownfish so it’s why I feed a lot, my nitrate is ranging around 5-10 but I water change every Saturday, so my sump is only 10 gallon and I have no space for chaeto UNLESS I will remove my skimmer and will have w space for my chaeto, what do you think is much better? Chaeto or skimmer?

If you have GHA you nitrates will be more than 5-10. Show us a pic of the tank
I don’t have green hair algae, just brown algae or diatoms, my tank is already stable, before I fed them once a day for a week and never encounter those brown algae, but since I need to breed them I keep feeding 5x a day so it’s the reason why my nitrate is higher but every Saturday I do water change.

skimmer isn’t enough so should I change it to chaeto? I will do both if I see a better aquarium like a rectangle 20 gallon like this, I can do 40 as a sump but it’s 180 cad lol and I will choose to make my 40 as my main tank instead of my 20 haha so for now 10 gallon sump is okay.

20 gallon with 3 chambers, I drilled those black acrylic with 17 holes for water can flow up go 3rd chamber and overflow to sump
