Looking good man!

skinz thanks alot

, i finally have evrything in the tank growing the way i like. Whe i first switched to led i was very unsure if i liked them or not (lack of growth). everything seemed to stall out for a while, and now everything just seems to be growing like crazy.
I fell this is y most succesful reef over the years and with very little maintainence.
I drip kalk with top off, add a little mag every once in a while, and a little baking soda for alk when needed. evrything has been staying rock solid paramater wise. I have been very lucky in that i have not lost a coral in a long time (knock on wood)

Okay, it looks like we can change the title of my thread.

I bought a new 220 gallon tank over the weekend. We started the switchover at 5:00 pm and finished about 3:30 am man what a long day.

I used all new sand seeding it with some from the old tank

I used my same skimmer, sump, lights. I have a bigger return pump that i need to change out. I have been running an el cheapo cap 2200 pump, but got a mag 36 with a mag24 impeller in it.

So far i havent lost anything from the move and none of the sps have browned out

this tank is in my gameroom and is being used as a room divider viewable on 3 sides. I still have to build a canopy that is attatched to the wall to complete the look, but its always a work in progress
here

My nikon is out for repair so here are 2 quick shots from my phone.

one is before aquascaping and coral placement, the other is after.

Looks great man! You digging the bigger tank?

yes and no.

i love having the bigger footprint, but i forgot how much i hate the 30" height. i cant reach the bottom and it drives me nuts.

but the fish love the 30" height especially my 11" vlamingi tang

bob

Ha ha I have the same problem in my 24" deep tank.... I can't reach the bottom of the back half of the tank and had to get some tongs to assist with fixing stuff back there.
