Hi. Need help with a new client's 3m tank. The rocks are covered in red turf algae. Not sure how to approach as there are 2 picaso triggers, a red tooth and tusk fish. Was thinking crabs and snails but won't they have them for dinner? Other options?

From what I heard about those fish they certainly will make short work of them. Can you post some pics of the tank and tell us what the nitrates and phosphates are? Usually there is an imbalance in nutrients when the red stuff shows up.

I would try Vibrant. or else take the rocks out and manually debride. I say this because I have urchins that literally eat around turf algae, they intentionally avoid it. Like they will scrape everything in a circle around a patch of turf algae.
