Hey everyone,

My tank is coming up on a year now and I've noticed I'm starting to get turf algae from what I believe. It isn't very long and doesn't have ferns like bryopsis.

I have a tomini and LMB and neither touch it. Which points at turf algae. Do mexican turbos eat it? I have vibrant on hand should I dose with that? Any advice is much appreciated, thx folks.

You should probably dose Vibrant. And then while dosing, try to start removing the turf algae during water changes (bring the siphon super near the algae, then use it and your finger to tug it out).

Sorry to hijack the thread, but is this turf algae? I notice it in only two places that are impossible to get to without breaking some fragile corals. I assume the fish or CUC are taking card of it elsewhere, but one place seems to be getting bigger.

Hm looking at the picture it’s seem pretty long to be turf algae. But, I can be wrong. I had turf algae before and it’s very stubborn small dense hair algae

The first picture/location looks more dense than the second picture/location. I could probably break that dead coral off the first location and try to pinch it out, but the second one it is completely integrated with a healthy coral. Any ideas on CUC or fish that would eat it?
