I was wondering if I was to take my calcium reactor offline based on Apex readings if it would be better to turn off my dosing pump and leave to Carbon doser online or turn both off or turn the carbon doser off and leave the doser going.
would leaving the water in the reactor cause any issues with the pH or will it just become saturated. Do I worry about the circulation pump going and the water sitting stagnant?
Thanks

Sound like you are trying to kill two birds with ALL the rocks.
You should be either dosing OR using the reactor.
They essentially do the same thing and you run the risk of overdoing everything.
You can use something like an Alkatronic or Trident to help with the APEX controlling the doser OR the Reactor but not in conjunction with both.
Pick a tool for the job and stuck with it.
There is no point in having two hammers to pound the same nail.

Guessing OP is referring to the c02 regulator and not carbon dosing for bacteria

There is something called a Carbondoser. It is manufactured by a company called Aquarium Plants. It's old school, but one of the best automated CO2 regulators out there .

Yea sorry dosing pump meaning feed pump for the calcium reactor.
man’s the carbon doser is the CO2 regulator.
