Turnover rate for 40 Breeder?

Itll be a mixed refef. LPS, SPS, Zoas?

Should I roll with 42.5X turnover rate? That would be the Koralia 1 and Koralia 2..

Or should I go with 47.5X turnover rate? That would be 2 Koralia 2s..


Ill be using a 700 GPH overflow kit from glass holes...

Just ordered the 2 Koralia 2 powerheds and a Stealth 150 Watt Heater for 93 bucks from the Docs.

Ordered my overflow Kit yesterday for 65.00

Now I need 700 more bucks to have the rest of the stuff I need for the tank to just be set up. .. Thatll be another 3 months at this rate in college. Im only gettn 20 hours a week in and im gettin an apt. Guess i gotta work every saturday to get at least 30 hours in

400 - Lights
80 - Mag pump
120 - Sump
100 - Stand

Anybody got a used mag pump rated 700 GPH let me know....

Rollin with the tek fixture. 6 x 39 watts... 234 watts I think it is...

go with oceanrunner!
cheaper version of eheim, quiet ones are deffinately not worth it
mags are ok, deffinately durable and will last but it has a fairly high energy consumption
eheim are obviously awesome but pricey
or2500 is i think around 600-700gph, or3500 is 900gph

The koralias will be good for the tank's movement, but you might need like one or two more that are really strong for the top half for the SPS, if you wanted a lot of them. If you only want a few, put em near the Koralias front and youll be fine.

The koralias will be good for the tank's movement, but you might need like one or two more that are really strong for the top half for the SPS, if you wanted a lot of them. If you only want a few, put em near the Koralias front and youll be fine.

Pretty much the way I plan on my aquascaping being only one half will be SPS. So one of the Koralia 2s will be on the side of the glass facing the rocks pointed towards the sps..

The other Koralia 2 will be across the tank on side of the glass blowing towards the mountain of rocks with the SPS.

So hopefully it works out. I started to get the Koraila 3 and a 2. But if I dont think its gettin the job done Ill swith it up in a heart beat!

Yeah i would go eheim or mag pump. I'll be using one of those for my return. I just painted my tank tonight rebel so check for pics in like 20 mins. You are going to love the overflow kits. Did you get one or two?? Oh i have 2 tunze 6025's in my 29gal and also a hob filter and a hob refugium with a maxijet 400 on it. The flow is just right in that tank. So i would probably go 2 koralia 2's in your tank.

One is plenty. I got 2 cuz i like to balance the look on each side of the tank and sometimes the oily film gets trapped on one side of the tank so i decided to get one for each side. You will like it. I would put it in the middle if your just using one. But it's just personal preference.

If you go with one the most functional place is middle. If you do 2 then one on each side.
