Turnover?

How many times does YOUR tank turnover? This is not a return pump divided by tank volume question. Keep in mind all your bends in your piping and connections to get a true head pressure.

youd have to put a flow meter on you return output to get a specific rating

So with my pump alone I have 10 times turn over. If I include power heads then I have an additional 8 times but only during daylight hours so I have 18 times turnover during the day and 10 times during night time.

id say my 1800gph return pump get knocked back to 1200 due to total resistance/head pressure on my 105g
so about 12x

Cool...just trying to get a feel for what you guys are doing as far as turnover goes...im going to purchase my pump now for my new build.

I've always view the return pump as part of the filtration and Not part of the water movement.

For movement I use Power heads.

The job of the return pump is to simply return the
water too fast and you get Noise and Micro bubbles.

I actually have my return pump dialed back slow it down.
