Up in Northern California, we have some really wonderful beers. One of my favorites is Pliny the Elder:

It was number one in America for the 8 of 15 years that it existed, on the Zymurgy Magazine's list. I think that one is quite respected.

Also, it's an IPA. I don't like IPAs as much usually, but this one is incredible.

Right now the focus is going to be acans and acros. I want to try some monti again. Bonnie and Clyde are going to be moved over as well as Maui. Not too sure on the rest of the stock, except that I want a black cap basslet. I might put my six line in here too. Depends on what I figure out for stock and if he'll get along. He's been a gem so far.

Speaking of Canadian whiskey, have you tried the new(at least me to) Crown Royal Salted Caramel? That stuff is straight up smooth as a baby butt sipping whiskey.

All you need to do is chill it and serve it over rocks. I was helping bar tend at my buddies place Friday night and a few people bought me shots. Bartending is cool, its busy but for some reason people like to tip in alcohol. I wasn't trying to get drunk so I kept sipping on the crown caramel. One guy looked at me like, "why didn't you just shoot that?"

I rarely drink either. I'm actually a tea drinker. My Grandmother was British and she always gave us tea when we were younger. I never liked the taste of coffee so I stuck with the tea.

Per request. The Lumini Asta 20 planted LED light has been par tested . Again this is the planted version. Assuming it could be used for cheatomorph or some other macro algae you can use this reference as a base for a decision. They do make the Marine version for $55. It comes with a 4 channel remote IR dimming adjustment.

The Lumini Asta 20 Planted runs about $44 on Amazon. Rated at 6,500k it comes with an adjustable 360 deg gooseneck, 2 lenses, dimmer switch, and 12 month warranty.


I tested the Par with a Seneye meter. The kelvin readings on the Seneye were 5,500k respectfully. Though, the kelvin meter hasn't been proven to be accurate on the seneye.

You would achieve around 400 Par at roughly 4" which is more than enough I think.
