Turtle's Deep Blue Sea

Tidal Gardens. I've watched a bunch of Than's videos and I always wanted to get coral from him. We ordered a pavona 4 pack, a german blue digi and a green pocci. Easy to keep, fuzzy SPS.

We're also getting QT set up. Yes, it's in the kitchen where Maui's first tank was. The PP8 is only to get the salt mixed, 2000gph from that big pump in a 10g makes for a nice whirlpool effect. After it's all mixed my sponge filter that's been in the sump for weeks is going where the PP8 is. It should be full of good bacteria.

Nice selection!

I banish all my naughty bacteria to the sump. I let the good bacteria stay in the DT. ;Happy

Speaking of sumps... we threw the H380 back in there. DT looks like it has more algae growth than last week. That Kessil is great a growing algae but we had it mounted way to close and were burning the chaeto from the hot spot. This time we didn't use the cable to hang it, but it's as high as our stand will allow. We're at a mounting height of 10.5" off the water instead of 6".

Here is our light schedule to start with.

That is how I have mine mounted and I find it works great.

I can't find the post but I think I remember someone sharing a picture of a bald eagle... maybe it was just a lake... from a local photographer... maybe it was @siggy?

Anyway, just saw this photo from Lake Wateree, just up the road from the house about 20 minutes. Guy that lives on the lake does some photography as a hobby. Felt like sharing, 'Merica!

Haha, so strange putting milk in tea. Tea is cold and full of sugar. Coffee is hot and you put milk in it. I doubt milk will make that "tea" taste any better tho.

Also, my favorite Star Trek and probably my "favourite" actor...

Just left the LFS across town. The only pygmy angel they had was sold, but they are going to call me Monday when the fish order comes in. We spotted this monster... if only I had the money. 300 gallon deep dimension with stand and canopy.

We didn't leave empty handed tho, picked up a few 1.5-2" frags.
