Yea, I bought the heater because they were rock solid on the temp in the "52 weeks" series. You just made me want to pull thing out and look at the case real quick.

All good, no cracks, splits or bulges. I'm gonna leave it there because the temp doesn't swing at all like other heaters with a +/- 1 or 2 degree range. The heater wasn't the only thing causing the induced voltage. My pumps and skimmer even caused something. The tank is grounded now so there's no worry of stray voltage anymore.

Same here, I am actually using mine for my display right now, I bought a rain bird controller for my finnex but can't seem to keep it on ferinhight it defaults to "That other english" mabey @najer can translate.

No CUC package today, but it'll be here tomorrow. Tracking info says it's at the post office here in town. We did find one of the burrows for the gobys. Hopefully soon they will start venturing out a bit further.

CUC came in today. They were super cold as the high today was 39°F(that's 3.8°C @najer). Float acclimated them for about an hour and in the tank they went. The fighting conch is HUGE. I was not expecting a snail that large. From tip to tip he's probably 4" and 2" wide. They also sent way more dwarf ceriths than I ordered. There were at least 30 in the bag... I didnt count. They are no bigger than a 1/4". Everone seemed to be moving around and already started on cleaning the tank up. Chaeto and ulva looked good. I've got my H380 set on a 30 minute cycle for a few hours at night. That way it hopefully doesn't scorch the algae...

John at reefcleaners is great. Get my base rock and CUC from him only. Always gives you more that what ur supposed to get!

I didn't see as many of the Florida ceriths as I ordered, but there was WAY more dwarf ceriths and a few more nassarius as well. I'm happy with my purchase and even being just below 40° when I got it,(seriously, the bags were COLD, stupid USPS) they all looked like they were healthy and moving around fine after a long acclimation.

Now, let's hope this chaeto and ulva doesn't melt so we won't have to build an ATS.

I found i had to dose nitrate/Phosphate to keep the chaeto from melting. Just couldnt keep up feeding enough. Your light cycle may help amd if you go triton go with the regular solutions as It includes algae food. Other methods doesnt.

I really should have plenty of nutrients in the tank now to feed the chaeto. Last test showed 1.3ppm PO4 with the Red Sea Pro kit. Yes, 1.3ppm. Funny thing is my Hanna low range phosphate showed 0ppm... It always shows 0ppm. I think the thing is busted or the reagent they sent me with the meter isn't any good. My Nitrates were way purple on the low range, but barely visible on the high range... I'm going with 4ppm since that's the min and max on both scales. the NOPOX was working very well as my last test for Nitrates was 16ppm. I'm gonna go back to feeding every day(was was feeding every other) and see if I can get the chaeto to take off. Once(if) it does, I'll up my feedings a bit and increase my fish load with some more free swimmers like a few small wrasse and a sapphire damsel. Once I find balance with that, I'm going to try some SPS again.

The only thing I have in the frag tank that survived is the Blue Stylo, that still looks like crap. That hyacinth birds nest is still in the Deep Blue Sea, along with the frag that I accidentally broke off. Both pieces have good color and polyp extension. I haven't noticed any growth, but I look at it daily and I'm trying to work my lights up slowly. I might have to back them off, my BTA seems ticked right now. It has been closed for a few days. I don't understand how, as I'm still below 50% on the lights and I only had 200 PAR at 100% in that spot. I should be under 100 PAR still where they are. It could be ticked off from the piece of LRS it ate the other day, but I don't see how. It was a small piece that it grabbed. Maybe it's just not used to being fed/eating.

When we do buy SPS, it's going to be some very forgiving coral. I'm actually thinking of some Pavona and some Montipora. Tidal gardens has a nice Pavona frag pack on sale I'm very tempted to buy, but have been holding myself back.

I just had an epiphany on why I have super elevated nickel and molybdenum in the tank...

Nickel and molybdenum are both used in stainless steel for corrosion resistance. We're going to get a set of these, made by a local reefer.

I've read they are low light SPS... about 100 par. Do you keep them midways in the tank?

Been looking for some like that too. Can they make me 2? I'd like the longest version I can get. 14" would be great.
