Turtle's Deep Blue Sea

You did a water change on the 24th, stopped the nopox around the 25th and added micro 28th.

The only thing I can think of was that the last water change did not have the true numbers. Sounds like you finished off the salt mix.

There is still a little salt left in the bag from the last bucket. I'll mix up a gallon and test the alk tomorrow. Should have more than enough for that.

I also did a water change on the 30th.

The chaeto is still looking good and is floating now. Floating means it's producing oxygen, right? I think that's what it means. We're going to try a new schedule tonight. Nutrients are still 4ppm nitrates and 1 something ppm phosphates. They haven't come up, and we've increased feeding... so that means we need to increase light on our macro. We're gong to try 3 hours on, one hour off and three hours on.

1ppm PO4?

I'm hoping that isn't correct!

Hahaha, yea... I'm gonna test again today but that is what my Red Sea test has been showing on the high range. I know, its extremely high. I swear I haven't been over feeding. My nitrates are under control, I just can't touch these phosphates.

Chaeto and ulva survived the night with 3 hours on an hour break and 3 more hours on. Still floating and looks like forming a carpet on the surface. Growth? Maybe... guess time will tell.

Yep, its cold outside. Starting to snow. Yes, SNOW. In SOUTH Carolina... anyway, we picked up some necessities and lit the fire.

Gorget Root Beer Rum... distilled and bottled a mile from my house. Passed it for the first time this morning and then saw it in the liquor store. Yes, we have to go to a special store to buy liquor... Remember when drinking and reefing, make no changes to the tank until you sober up.
