Turtle's Fairy Tale

Good to hear they support their product but frustrating nonetheless. Thank god the 40 was ready to handle to the live stock!

Yea, the 40 has all the fish, coral and the snowflake. The 10g has Maui, Smiley and the coral beauty(who has been banished there for at least a week). I really do not want to risk putting Maui in with the snowflake. I'm already worried about the wrasse, but he's left the sapphire damsel alone, and the only thing he's done to the coral banded shrimp is bite his claws off because it keeps pinching him. Yea, the shrimp lost both his claws...

My rock is split between a rubbermade container and a 5g bucket... I have a heater and powerhead in with the branch rock. Ran out of heaters for the sump rock, but it shouldn't get too cold inside.

Good to hear they got you another tank on the way.

Any insight on why it might have happened. This is my biggest fear with a 100 gallons of salt water in my office.

No idea for sure... that corner the stand is the only thing I can think of that would cause it.

I know you leveled it so that wouldn't account for it. Only thing I can imagine is if the stand let go in that corner a little causing the glass to try and bend.

Does the tank have a pad? The reason I ask is because the Waterbox's pad is attached to the tank and in the corners, where we lifted from, it is a little compressed. I can get a piece of paper folded a couple times in 3 of the corners. Makes me a little nervous seeing what happened to you.

It comes with a piece of probably 1/8 foam board the size of the tank that sits between the tank and stand. Thats the black you see under the tank, the bottom pane isnt painted.

Dang man sorry to see this! You’ll be back on track in no time. Steve at sca did tell me their tanks come with a warranty so I’m glad he’s shipping a new set for you! Did you have a pad of some sort under the stand? I noticed under the stand are 6 pads/feet, mby a high spot in the floor?

Ugh! That sucks! Yeah foam will solve any small differences. I used BRS pad but I’ve heard yoga mats used as well.

Glad the livestock survived!

Oh man that stinks!

Now I am worried about my SCA tank. I felt like the pad was way too thin for the application and almost went with something thicker. I did make sure my plywood top was extremely level so hopefully it will be fine.

Back at work this week. I got a tracking number last night that I'll check out after work. I'm going to be looking closer at the stand when it gets in and looking at a pad between the stand and floor and a different pad between the tank and stand. I'll probably end up with some sort of neoprene.

Ouch sorry this happened. But like others have said it good the tank was so young with so little in it.

I was Really Sorry to hear about the tank, and I was just as surprised to hear about the service, On a holiday, wow tracking and all!
