Turtle's Fairy Tale

That is super pi$$ed off, looks fine, no actual skeleton showing, and we wait!? ;)

Yea, it doesn't look happy at all... but you're right, no actual skeleton showing. Lobos have those spikes that show when the flesh is retracted. Might deter fish from nipping at them.

We have a tank... it came in on a busted pallet, on top of a good pallet. Leaning tower of Pisa. Good thing they put the stand on top of the tank for shipping. If it was top heavy it would have gone over on the truck. All looks well tho, and as soon as I get a few days off I'll be working on the living room floor so we can get this tank set up.

Woohoo!!!!

Still really weird that they send you a durso pipe for the tank plumbing.....

Yep, it's a lobo. Still closed, but by the reaction of the trachy it'll be fully open tomorrow after the lights come on. Diver's Den photo. I really like getting LPS from them. It's not every day, or every week, but pretty often they have some killer pieces posted.

That Lobophyllia is beautiful! And congratulations on getting the tank in one piece.

Thanks, I'm glad it was ok too. I was nervous when I saw the pallet and the box dingged up, but everything turned out fine. Lots of packing material for cushioning.

The lobo is still sulking from shipping, but its starting to inflate. I'm positive it'll be fully inflated by tomorrow.

The trachy is loving life right now, it could stand a bit more flow(the whole tank could), but it is doing just fine.

Oh the memories!

That was the 2nd gaming system we had as kids. My dad got hooked on The Legend of Zelda. He played for hours and could never make it past a certain point. After he died, my brother and I tried for days to finish the game.

Turns out the initial game was bugged and was impossible to finish. We never knew that so we never exchanged the game for a working copy. ;Eggonface

Love me some Lobos! Nice!

I am running 230s on my 93 cube and have them dialed down. Still tons of flow for my SPS. 230s would be great.

Turtle, why not throw your icecap in there for now?

Just saw this, the Icecap 1K was in there. 100% wasnt enough flow. It was just enough for LPS, but would get absorbed quickly once i started filling in the top with some SPS. I also needed an opposing pump on the other side of the tank, as my flow was very good across the top and at the right side of then tank when the flow made its first turn. After that the tank was pretty dead.

I really just want some shiny new toys, and the ability to have one side run for X minutes, then the other side run for X minutes. You can only run one pump on the Icecap controller, and there is no way to link controllers. Without a tank controller that is. That will come later, been eyeing that ekoral. I'm going to run the 1K for a little while so I can save up/wait for a sale on the 230s. Just a few LPS will be fine with that pump.

Popped the light on for a second before I get a nap. No more night shift, until next weekend that is. Lobo seems to have adjusted. Should be fully inflated when I wake up. One day recovery like I've always experienced with squishy bouncy.
