I haven't feed my tank in a couple weeks with the reef roids only some pellets trying to bring up the NO3.

Been a few days since I updated...

Went over to the friends house to check out her tank. She's been having some acros that were doing well start to bleach out. Test all parameters and everything checks out except alk is a little low at 6.9, but it's been steady low not up and down. Ran out of kalk. I brought her a little cup until her order comes in.

Pull the Seneye out just to double check PAR. I had set her 6 bulb ATI(was running black boxes) before at 8" with about 250 at the top of the rocks but they were old bulbs. When I checked Friday the top of the rocks was pulling over 500 PAR... new bulbs and didn't raise the fixture, or tell me she replaced them all at once. We ended up at 12"off the water with almost 500 par at the surface, 350 at the top of the rocks and 200 on the sand.

Then it was fragging time. Came home with several goodies. Suharsonoi, Montipora spongodes and capricornis, a small ricordia and a bunch of zoas. The zoas all have names, but there were so many I can't remember them all. I know the big pink ones are pink hippos.

Also, July FTS. Cloudy water from bacterial bloom plus the remains of diatoms and brown hair algae growing on the two rocks that were in the holding tank for 5 weeks... pretty sure there's quite a bit of phosphates bound in them now. I'm just going to ride it out and let the tank find balance. As long as everything looks happy and healthy, I'm going to remain hands off.

New corals, and some old on the rack.

Is that a radiata or a geoffroyi? The shape of the skeleton looks a little different than mine.

I'm not incredibly versed at the growth patterns of trachys. I can tell you mine(radiata) is almost square, with a cross that almost perfectly lines up in the middle. It also has a flat bottom that is slightly concave.

Mine has adjusted to my lighting schedule very well. It's super full and squishy by the time the T5s come on. Probably inflates to three times the size of it's skeleton. When the blues start coming on strong right before lights out, it's already retracting it's mantle and starting to send out feeders. I took that picture this morning right before I left for work... so middle of the night for the tank.

Thanks for that. So I have 1 of each. My radiata (pinkish one) has a single mouth and the skeleton is oval and more flat. As opposed to my geoffroyi (green & blue one) is more rounded and not flat

Loving this piece of info, rainbow is a radiata and the other is a Geoff!

Alright guys, need opinions... yea I know opinions are like arm pits, everyone has at least one and they all stink... lol

My fighting conch... should I add him to the Fairy Tale, or keep him out. I'd love the sand cleaning and stirring, but scared of a rock slide (all I can imagine is him getting between two branches and getting frustrated and pushing one over in a domino fashion) or bashing up my LPS.

The rock is glued at the tops, but the bottom is mostly just sitting on the glass or another rock.

I like mine, but I don't have those incredible LPS sitting on my sand bed to worry about.
