Tuxedo Urchin not doing good

how old is tank? they need an established tank. I have 2 in mine for 3+ years. One of them is 5 years old in tank. Tank had been running for years before I put them in. I think it sounds like he is starving.
I got him when my tank was roughly 8-9 months old. In the beginning he really ate a lot of the algae (especially corraline). Now there is not a lot left. some spots here and there and I thought that would be enough. Maybe I was wrong.
When I still had my urchin, he started losing spines a couple of times, but was able to make a recovery. Whenever it started to lose spines, I would soak a piece of nori in a cup of water until it had softened up. Then I would go and gently push the piece under him and hold it there until the urchin had grabbed on and was eating. This is what always worked for me and I kept my urchin for a year.
Good luck and I hope your urchin makes a recovery!
Alright, I placed a piece of nori next to the rocks where he can find it. I may even also put him just on top of it.

Yesterday I separated my urchin. Today I spotted a dark brown slug-like thing on him. I tried to get it with my tweezers but it was too fast. When I eventually got it, I split it in half and both parts where moving. Really creeped me out. Maybe that was why he is doing so bad?

That sounds like an amoeba but do we have those in saltwater? Then again could be a flatworm or stomatella if it’s frightened enough.

But it had tiny legs and was moving pretty quick.

Bristle worm? Those things can live through the apocalypse
Don’t know, does that look like a bristle
