Twilight dragon acro

Oregon Torts are notorious for being slow growers. I think some of the other torts out there will grow faster, but still are slower than a lot of acros.

I agree the Oregon Tort grows super slow and while I don't have (or have never seen in person) the "dragon" you are referring to, in general dragons are very fast growers when in proper conditions - especially new and thin branches. I have noticed most dragon frags grow really slow when on my frag rack (right below the surface, TONS of flow and light) but much, much faster on my rockwork about 1/2 way down and in shielded flow (so they get lots of movement, but no direct flow). The tips of the branches are generally super thin (like twig thin) but can grow an inch in just 2 or 3 weeks. However, the thicker base of the branches grow much slower. Try moving it around - most dragons don't like the insane light and flow most other acros do.

Yea I moved it towards the bottom. By the way the twilight dragon has a light violet body and mint green tips it's an eye catcher it look amazing.

Ok, just a different name. Ive seen those always as the last dragon. But I agree with the statement above. In general all of these "dragon" species tend to grow really fast.

being that you just transferred everything I would give it at least 3-4 more months before thinking it doesnt like your tank.

Chris is spot on, the Dragon acros (A.Carduus) take a while to acclimate, they tend to grow rapidly when they get happy.

My Twlight and OT grow at a mid level but not the slowest out of my colonies. Both are mid level at about 300-350 par mid-high water flow.

M.I.A Don't worry they'll find me!
