So I have been thinking about going back to using kalkwaser. I went to two part because my alkalinity would just go sky high each time I used no matter what I dosed. I would just add a teaspoon to my ato. So I loved over to 2 part and a jabeo doser.

Now I have an apex I’m thinking about how I could automate the dosing of kalkwaser without having to add it to my ato directly.

I was thinking of two ato pumps. One feeding a kalkwaser reactor and one to act as a regular ato pump. Then get the apex to choose which pump to use based of PH of the tank. If it’s over 8.4 use the regular pump if it’s under 7.8 use the kalkwaser ato.

Was wondering what everyone’s thoughts are ?

Using pH to control the dosing of any alk additive is a super bad plan.

It’s fine to use two pumps, but the kalkwasser pump should be set to maintain alk, not pH. The concern is alk getting too high.
