Two acropora taking months to color up

I've had my water parameters stable for quite some time. I added some acropora frags in September and a couple of them are very, very slow to color up (they arrived brown). One is a Hawkins, the other is a strawberry shortcake. Do some acros just take a really long time to achieve max color or is it unusual for an acro to take 2 months to color up. The Hawkins is only now beginning to show some green on the tips. The SSC is maybe 1/3 green.

I've had some that take a year to get to where i would expect them to be. I've noticed the ones that take a long time tend to show the true colors where they encrust at the bottom

There's no set time frame for Acros to color up. I've had acros that colored up within days, some can take weeks, or even months, you never know. Even with perfect conditions, it's up to the coral. The best piece of advice I can give you, be patient and don't try to change things to get the corals to color up. Making a lot of changes will make it even worse.

I had one that's stayed brown for so long I have forgotten what it is, when it started coloring up that brown frag turned out to be the most colorful in the tank, a tri-color sps.

True the more color the acro the longer it seems the take to color up.

I've got some brown turds I've had over a year, no growth no color. 2 months is nothing!

You should be ok, you're starting to see colors, that will take off soon.
