Hi! I have found three slimeballs in my tank, they could be containing eggs but Im really not sure. The only thing I have in my tank that could reproduce are Trochus snails but they lay eggs on the glass?
Sorry I couldnt get better focus on the pics, Im using a cellphone camera.

The is a clear mucusball and inside it are lots of small orange grains.

Yeah I thought so also about the snail eggs. I have no fish pairs in my tank, only one of each type, and as for inverts I only have two Emerald crabs except for the snails so I guess either a hitchhiker is looking to reproduce or its something else besides eggs?
I will probobly siphon them out today as I dont want to wait and see what potential pest is going to spawn out of them. :P

what kind of fish ,how long? @KJ ,check these out thanks

I have two firefin gobies, a red and a purple one, they dont get along at all. Also a single black Ocellaris clownfish, a lawnmower blenny, a Diamond goby and a Exquisute fairy wrasse.
None of them have been more then three months in the tank.

i would say sleeping slime coats from wrasse ,but orange dots, cannot see clear enough

The "sack" on the overflow, looks like it could be the bubble coccoon from the fairy wrasse.

Thanks for the replies! The slimeballs are very even and doesnt really look like the ones the wrasse leaves behind, I do agree that the one on the overflow resembles that more.
I will try to get a more focused pic of the balls with orange grains in them!

Here are some more photos and a short video. Really tried to get the camera to focus but I really need to invest in a better camera.
The grains of sand and dust you see surrounding the sacs are sand stuck in the outer mucus.

Yes the video really shows the outer slime and the center filled with orange grains.

It doesnt seem like they belong to the clownfish, just had my hand in the tank and moved it close to the ball on purpose to see if any of the fishes would react but noone seemed to mind. I have heard clownfish can be very protective of their eggs?

clowns lay on surfaces no slime
