Two fishes just died

My beautiful green canary blenny just died and my other clownfish is dying, is this because of new tank syndrome? I’m getting advice and doing everything right! What’s going on?

Edit: all my fish just died they were fine this morning!! What’s happening?

Need more info. Please post tank parameters including age of the tank, salinity and filtration. Did the fish exhibit any signs of disease or stress? Pics if the sick clown?

How long did you cycle your tank? I usually test with a cheap fish after a month of cycle.

Dying that quickly makes me think it was an acclimation issue.

Did they look like they were covered in a dust at all when they were alive?

How did you acclimate? How long did the tank cycle for? What’s the full setup? A fish will only die that fast after introduction if something was really wrong with the acclimation or setup.
Petcos aren’t exactly known for their healthy fish or good advice.

Please don’t buy anymore fish until you do some research and ensure your tank is ready for fish. It’s not an easy hobby and really need to do your homework before buying livestock.

These are the parameters in the tank rn

7.5 ph low

5ppm nitrite

80 ppm nitrate

2 -3 ppm phosphate

Ammonia 8ppm

I’m sad all the fishes are dead

Ammonia is 8?
To say that’s at toxic levels would be an understatement. It would be a miracle if anything survived at far lower concentrations.
80 ppm nitrate is also way higher than it should be. Even in saltwater, you don’t really want that above 20 ppm.
How long has it been set up and what did you do to cycle?
Do you have any pictures of the setup?

You never cycled your tank properly before adding fish or you have inadequate filtration that's why the high ammonia reading which killed them. You need to educate yourself to the hobby before starting again.

Also, is the salinity at 1.22 or 1.022 - that’s a really big difference (frankly I don’t even think the former is scientifically possible but worth covering all bases).

I cycled it for 2 weeks because that’s what I was told at a local pet store

yes I know that and I was doing so much research before but was given bad advice from s local pet store. I know now and will be more careful before adding any fishes. I’m going to have to wait 2 months before adding more to make sure averything is ok and testing the water.

Oh sorry it’s between 1.022 and 1.023

By any chance do you know a test kit for the water that can be like an all in one or that has less testers? I found one but it’s a bit expensive

There isn’t much by way of “all in one”
The best kits are tailored to each individual parameter.
Salifert, Red Sea, and Hanna checkers are all good kits, among others.

2 weeks is not enough unless you use water and live rock from a stable existing tank. Need about 4 weeks with good filtration and water flow.

Also you may need to do a water change with ammonia that high. I believe greater than 4ppm starts to slow down the cycle pretty aggressively as very high ammonia levels are also toxic to bacteria
