Does API calcium work? They sell a calcium supplement, and how do i raise magnesium? would epsom salt work? (I heard that magnesium can help combat cyano)

not really, dealing with cyano is more about keeping params proper, and making sure lights and flow are good. I would not recommend adding epsom salt. You are using tap water right? that is likely fueling the cyano growth, so I would recommend to address that first.Does API calcium work? Ok, and does "not really," mean API calcium doesnt work?not really,
no, API calcium should work fine (not sure you need it though). What is your alk btw? could be causing calcium to precipitate out.Ok, and does "not really," mean API calcium doesnt work?
not that, just asking as I might need a calcium supplement when I get a Hammer, Since it is stony, and it might take calcium faster than my WC can refill. I dont know the alk rn as i am waiting for a salifert test kit, from amazon, since API alk went bad.no, API calcium should work fine. Some species are poisonous or otherwise unpalatable to most snails. This is not always a prefect solution.I battled the Cayo by opening my reef rocks for flow - and upped my snail population - it was gone in 3 days. Course now you can see the blue air stone behind, but I will figure that out.
