So I havnt used two part before and bought the two little fishes c balance. So my question is when I dose do I need to dose equal amounts or just dose the two at the same time. On the reef calculator it gives me different amounts for both A and B part. I’m probably just over thinking it lol let me know if you guys have a answer.
Thanks

I’ve used Two Little C- Balance for 19yrs and quite frankly for years I’ve just dosed equal amounts of both. How big is your tank?

I only use C-Balance for my office tank which is 14 gallons and BRS two part for my other tanks. Calcium reactor for my 120 gallon tank.

Well I have a 120 with a 40 gal sump. So around 135 gal net. Yea I don’t want my alk raised much but my calcium is at 375 and alk is at 8.5. So that was my concern.

the correct approach to 2parting is to separately test your Alk and Calc and find the absorption rate separately for both. find how much Alk and Calc is being used by your corals daily/weekly. Super critical you know this!

the idea of 2parting is to chase and kept Alk and Calc in a specific range... like 8-10dKH Alk and 440+ Calc. knowing when to dose and when to BACKOFF

if you dont know FOR SURE your absorption rate, you will FAIL and end up with OVERDOSING one of the 2parts, guaranteed. especially if you only test you Alk and Calc weekly.

you'll test one day that you're Alk is like 13-15dKH and then you'll have to do a 50% WC to get out of the dangerzone

Ok I gotch ya I have been testing both of them every day for the past 4 days trying to get the rate they drop by. I’ll wait tell the week is over and should have a good idea. Thanks hope it goes good
