Two or one Synergy overflow on 96" 300gal

I'm in the process of upgrading to a 96L x 25H x 30D glass aquarium (300gal) and looking into overflows.

Looking at the 20"synergy overflow and doing the bean animal plumbing for it.
Would one be sufficient or is two recommended on a 8 foot tank?
Less than 2500gph will be going through my sump from my return.

Synergy advertises the 20" to flow up to 2500 gph, so if you are going to have under 2500 gph it stands to reason that you would only need one 20" overflow.

Id probably do 2 for the increase surface skimming.

The reason I was asking because I wasn't sure if it will be enough surface skimming for a tank that's 8 feet long or if it made a difference as long as I'm not over the 2500gph limit.

This also comes to my next question if I end up going with two of their overflows. To avoid 6 lines going to my sump can I connect each side together to run just the 3 drain lines going down to the sump (siphon, open, emergency) for the bean animal setup?
Not sure if this will be difficult to achieve a siphon and still be fail safe.
