Ok guys I have been on another forum for about a year before I found this one. Help me out with this please.

Want to start keeping some SPS so I need to get my measurements up to PAR. Lighting is 2 250wt metal halide with 110wt Actinics supplements.
OK here is my tank makeup

135 Gallon Mixed Reef
55 Gallon Fuge/sump

But in all I would say 150 Gallon Total Water Volume

Current Measurements

Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Nitrite - 0
ALK - 7.3
Calc - 400
Mag - 1400

I am planning on Dosing BRS Two Part but need help to make sure I do things correctly.

According to BRS here is what I need

CALC - want it to be (450) to get there (767.6 ml)
MAG - want it to be (1450) to get there (604.8 ml)
ALK - want it to be (9 dkh) to get there (182.1 ml)

According to BRS I should dose more than .4ml - .6ml per 25 gallons per day.

So since I have a water volume of 150 that would be .36ml per day. Please let me know if I am correct.

Already mixed up my two part per BRS instructions

What are you using to dose? Pumps? Manual?

Either way you're going to have to test everyday until you figure out your dosing schedule. Add small amounts one day then test the next day before dosing again. It's a pain but once you get it down for a week or so you won't have to test as often. Every tank and consumption level is different and BRS isn't able to tell you how much to dose from a calculator. Any changes you make (especially alk) need to be done very slowly and over a period of days if not weeks.

Thanks will take it slow, tank is looking great last thing I want to do is throw things off.

Will be manual for now, working on getting dosing pumps but the $$$ isnt there right now, so have to go manual for now.
