Two part issues

Ok ill try that..
One question..will my sps be ok if my alk and cal plummet?
Usually by 7pm im around 5ish dkh

I doubt the alk will drop all that far since demand drops off really fast at about 5-6 dKH and below, but it may be pain you need to go through. Calcium won't drop much at all (it can't, since there's not enough alkalinity available for a big drop).

FWIW, you might want to double check your alk test.

Have you tried it one some new salt water?

Randy, I seem to be having a similar issue. I'm dosing around 140mL per day of BRS 2-Part, and my levels are stuck at 7.6 dKH and Ca at 410 in about 70 gallons. with 20ish SPS frags. Would you recommend the same solution for me if I'm noticing precipitation?

Possibly, but your case is not nearly so extreme, taking up less than 3 dKH per day, which is within the range of normal for a tank with rapidly growing hard corals.

Have you tried dosing less recently to see what happens?

In 20 gallons of water, if you dose 100 mL of each part of B-ionic each day, that is WAY too much and certainly is the issue. That's equivalent to 11 dKH of alkalinity added per day.

I'd stop dosing for 2 days and let the precipitated solids "cool off" (which essentially means give them a chance to get coated with magnesium, organics, phosphate, etc, all of which reduce ongoing precipitation).

Then I'd restart dosing at a much lower dose, such as 2 mL 5 times a day and see what that does after a few days.

I was like  when I read 110mL in a 20g. Heck I have a 29g + 10g sump and I only dose 7.5 ml of the bionic a day, alk stays around 10-11. Granted i dont have much in the way of sps.

Thanks allot randy..took my doser offline see what happens.
And yes ive tested other saltwater with my hanna..seems accurate.

Ok quick update...
After i took doser offline for 2 days..alk dropped to 5dkh
Started the doser again, but only dosing 5ml.
After the week found out the tank was using 2dkh a day.
Leveled out my dkh and i am slowly getting to balance out my 2 part dosing. Thanks randy it helped me rid my tank of precipitation and back on track to stabilizing my params.
