Two pink ricordea problems in two different tanks:

Ricordea #1 has been folding in on itself, nearly turning inside out; mouth is both more sunken and wider than before; seems agitated whereas previously it was perfectly content on its rock. Two weeks ago a mushroom nearby shriveled up and literally disappeared over 48 hours so I'm guessing this is a protozoa contagion problem?? Thoughts?

Ricordea #2 has been shrinking dramatically over the past week. It was previously 5x the size, more orange than pink, and positioned itself to the side, away from the direct light above the tank. Then it suddenly turned to face the light above, shrunk dramatically and turned pink all at the same time so it seems like it created its own light sensitivity problem?

Both have been fed regularly.

Any suggestions (aside from moving #2 away from light)?

1st two photos are #1 which is on a rock on the sand. 3rd photo is #2.
Tank parameters: 1.024; 8.8 KH; 8.1 pH; 435 Ca; 1375 Mg; NO 5; PO .01.

Parameters seems fine, my gut feeling is the lights. Try shading them a little and see if you see any improvements.

Thank you for responding. I placed a cover over #2 the past couple days but will shade both going forward.

Don't go crazy feeding it, as long as they have medium to low flow they should be fine
