Two tanks, One room

holy cow dude. nice. are those with the filter or no? you took those on full auto or manual on what settings?

Thanks Monkiboy! These are without the filter, but now with a 90mm Tamron lens, instead of my old 60mm. I am still learning and playing with macro, and only have about a weeks experience under my belt thus far. I was advised shooting manually to use the sunny 16 rule, although who knows if that is correct or not, perhaps my shots will tell?

When I use the Avast Portal, I like to shoot auto, less fooling around and twisting, so it is a mix and match. While it's nice to look like an expert photographer, these are also some of the good ones out of about 200, so the trick is finding quality in your quantity.

Nice shots! :)

Thank you, sir! Here are some more!

Switched to Radion G3 pros

I have also decided to go SPS and Zoa/Paly dominated, so I'm slowly phasing out my LPS and softies.

Here is a video of "storm mode"

And here is a video of what the Radion Demonstration looks like over my tank:

Cleared off 2/3 frag racks and mounted everything to the rock.

Thanks Monkiboy! You nailed it on the description! The light seems to be more natural and sharp. It's like making the tank HD.

I'm no baller next to some of my fellow reefers, that is for sure! I try and keep up with the big dogs though.

Looks VERY cool under the Radions. My LFS has them and they are pretty nice lights...IMO the best out there for 100% LED. Good choice. :clap2:

So it's been a while since I've posted up about the Display Tank! I won Tank Of The Month in my local club, feel free to check out the highlights! I've really made some huge switches since then. The switches to radion g3 pros, the addition of a 20 gallon on the side, clearing the frag racks onto the rocks, and getting rid of a lot of my softies, and soon to be dosing. Additionally, I finally got into Apex Fusion, so that has been fun to play around with and really start utilizing my Apex like I should. I also picked up a white worm colony starter from a forum member, and I'm busy keeping that going, hopefully in 3 months I will have enough white worms to treat my fish every now and then. Exotic Reef Creations is currently treating 3 sunburst anthias for me, and I'm eager to add them into my system.

Lastly, I had pink and gold zoas overtake my zoa garden. They started choking out some of my really nice zoas, so I pulled everything out and I am still needing to go in and clear them out. I want to make sure they are all dead and gone before I start adding my zoa garden back in its rightful place.

Enough talk, let me show you:

Piece I picked up a frag of Tabling Desalwil

Bad ***

Some Grandis Palys

Rainbow, growing like a weed

Birds Of Paradise

My new gigantic plate

Blue something or the other from Dr. Macs, I am hoping this will color up a lot better, but nice polyp extension.

This was a little frag a year ago:

So was this:

Red Dragon. I picked this up from the last meet (not the recent one, think back one more..) it fell into my GSP for a day, and I had it in a low light area. I've since moved it up, and it's gained a nice deep burgundy red. It's growing quickly, I don't know how this piece was so sought after and so expensive...

Deep Water Jackie. I put it in low light. It's lost some color, but it's not bleached. I think with some time it will turn around quickly, I'm trying not to mess with it.

Blurry zoas, always up front and center, so I think I just take a picture of them out of habit.

Same with this meteor shower

Got this nice yellow tort out of a trade, it's gigantic!

Jedi Mind Trick, finally starting to grow some

Do you like my hats?

What light were you running before the Gen 3 Pros? What's your lighting schedule look like?
