I plan to have 2 temp probes when i buy my Apex. Can I program it to say only turn the heater on if both temp probes hit a certain temperature e.g, if one hits a certain temperature do nothing but if they both it a certain, turn off the heater?

Yes, just make sure you have 2 different names for the probes.

Fwiw, I don't use the Apex to cycle the temp. I let the heater's thermostat do that. I use the Apex as a failsafe if the temperature gets too high. I also have a backup heater whose outlet only turns on if the temperature gets too low. I'll get alerts if either happens.

Sounds good, thank you. I am going to setup the same as you have.

Yes, so write the outlet program to say

Failback ON
SET ON
IF TEMP > 82 degrees then OFF
IF TEMP < 81 degrees then ON

This way, if the heater sticks on, the outet will kill the power, then when if drops back into a lower temp it will turn back on.

The temp settings are obviously your preference.
