Hi everyone! I've been bitten by the marine bug once again and I'm so excited to be back in the hobby! After some personal things that went on a while ago I lost interest in the hobby, but I'm back in full swing!

I've thrown together a 1ft cube tank with bits and pieces I had laying around from my old setups and I'm ready to go again!

I'm keeping this build as minimal and natural as possible. No mechanical filtration or dosing etc.
All that will keep this tank going is water changes, biological filtration and love :)

My only hardware is a heater, 600l/ph power head and an 11w CFL light (which definitely needs an upgrade).

I kept my old tank running fallow so all my rock is cured and I'm ready for my first fish! Also ready for a new aquascape :P

So I decided to try swordtail mollies in a marine tank. Don't ask why, I'm not quite sure myself. I know it can be done quite successfully, with some people even claiming to get healthier mollies and guppies in marine tanks.
Plus my LFS has just changed owners and are not stocking any marine livestock for a while.
Here's my two little guys. Molly the one with blue on her and Steve the one with yellow on his head :)

Welcome back, love nanos! Started out with a 3 gal. But now I'm up to a 30gal. .. The bug has bitten.:D

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

I love Nanos :) I've had a few over the years, but I'm most excited about this one!
I tried bigger tanks, but I much prefer Nanos. I can keep a nano in the house haha

I got a beautiful acan and torch from an online seller. Shipping took 4 days and both got here with water that was stone cold to the touch. It was my first time buying livestock online and took this one as a loss. It wasn't the sellers fault so I didn't want to cause a fuss over it.
The torch died and the majority of the acan died. There are a few polyps that pulled through, but I'm not overly hopeful though. The good news is the colour is slowly returning and there's not so many gaping mouths anymore!
I'll post pics if it heals up and starts opening properly.

The tank is going through a bit of an ugly stage at the moment. It's still young so I was expecting this at some stage.
I picked up a Fungia yesterday who's already fat and happy and eating like a pig :)

I like your acan rock garden nice mash of colours

Thanks! The pics don't do it justice. There's a few smaller polyps I can't get a decent photo of that are a gorgeous pinky/orange colour. They're only about 3-5mm across so I'm hoping they're fast growers!
