Hi Everyone!

I have this algae starting to spread in my tank. Anyone know what type this is? Is this Dino? Also any recommendations? I’ve been doing water changes weekly and my nitrate seem low whenever I check them.

Pictures attached.

thanks!

Picture too blue to assess but looks like what is known as chrysophytes
If so - needs to be physically scrubbed off
Please provide pics under white lighting

Appears to be Dino

siphon/net up as much as you can and reduce or turn off white lights and reduce run time on other lights
During the day, add 1.5ml of liquid bacteria per 10 gallons and at night, 1.5ml of hydrogen peroxide per 10 gallons for 5-7 days
Empty skimmer and clean filters daily during this time
Should then be gone

Awesome. Thanks!

I used Dino-X by Fauna Marin.
First I checked to ensure my N and P where in the bands, then did the treatment.
It eliminated Dinos in 6 days.
So for me, 3 doses with one day in between each dose.
Nothing else effected.

Peroxide provides oxidation, DinoX contains. . . . . synergistic mixture of Ethoxyquine, BHT (Butylated Hydroxy Toluene) and BHA (Butylated Hyydroxyanizole). It also contains Citric acid which functions as a chelating agent for metals to keep them from accelerating the oxidation process as would liquid bacteria and Peroxide combo.
Some people dont know, but DINOX also works for hair algae
