Type of hermit

Hitchhiker came in on some TBS live rock or maybe in their live sand. About the size of my thumbnail. Any ideas?

I've got a good dozen variations and it doesn't match any of them. It could be a white leg hermit crab, but the eye color isn't a match.

TBS identified it as a reticulated hermit, Iridopagurus Reticulatus. In case anyone was curious

I also have two of these buddies who came in on some TBS rock from June -- gave them a bunch of shells to browse, both have molted once and swapped out their original shells.

So far they're model citizens eating algae and detritus.

How's the crab doing?

They are doing great! Here’s one on top of a rock, filtering. Have at least 4 of them that hitchhiked from TBS rock or sand.

Same. The largest is still in the original shell, several weeks later, but the others have swapped shells.
