Type of worm and its it bad

Seen when the lights turned off and pulled this one out. How do I get ride of? Please let me know

No threat . Although not welcomed in my tanks are beneficial in removing detritus and other waste. They can easily reacj 12" in length and obviously, do not tough with bare hands

I've never heard of one harming a healthy coral, fish or invert. Pretty harmless. They are actually very good detritivores but, as mentioned, can get pretty big. Also, like said above if you have one you probably have more. I personally do not care for them but don't mind a few in the tank. If you get a lot of them it is time to reassess your nutrient levels. You can fairly easily remove them with tweezers (grabbing one with your hand even once will convince you that is not a good idea).
