Got a clownfish in quarantine tank jw what is typical behavior. It is swimming up and down both front corners of the tank looks kind of frantic. Tried posting video but keep getting an error

Clowns are an odd fish. Mine will stay in a corner and just swim up and down it all day. They aren't really free swimmers where you'll see them cruising the tank back and forth. And frantic swimming is what they do best. How is he breathing? Fast? Like more than 60 a minute?

I had a similar experience.

I turned the lights off for three days and gave them loads of pvc pipes to hide in. Once settled and feeding, I turned lights back on.

Ok thanks have several pipe fittings in there and no lights just ambient.

If it's captive bred they can be super active and free swimming little buggers. I had a snowflake occ who never settled in and was all over the tank I had. Seen here:

He has settled down some he is still very active which is a good thing i guess he ate when i fed them today and followed the net around as i dipped out uneaten food. Im not sure if he is captive bred or not. Thanks for all the info.

I have a pair of healthy clownfish... and let me tell you, their behavior scares the heck out of me all the time. Keep an eye for obvious signs of disease (spots, fin rot, mucus coating, white & stringy poop, etc.). Chances are, if they don't have these, they are just fine. They are called clown fish for a reason haha.

Looks like it lol. I lost the first one to brook(self diagnosing) awhile back so im a little nervous with them. Cant hardly get him in the tank and see if he will host the bubble tip. My luck he probably won’t even look at it.
