Typical new tank ugly ??

Tank has been running 6 weeks. Diatom bloom lasted only 3 days thanks to Microbactor XLM, great stuff ! Current algae looks more like green spray paint than anything fuzzy. Running a Santa Monica Rain 2 AS that is getting nice hair algae growth.

Looks typical to me. Time to buy some clean up crew, if you haven't already.

Bought some trochus and nassarius snails. BRS video seemed to show they're better than Turbos. A few have died, seems to be plenty of food.

I personally had better luck with turbos at least in my tank they live much longer,

Definitely the uglies. CUC, in the beginning, to help keep biological mass down as much as possible.
