I have a green tyree toadstool that has been closed up for some time now since I increased my lights.its been closed going on 3 weeks now without polyp extension. Everything else is doing good except for the toadstool. Should I just wait it out or should I move it to a shaded area?

What lighting do you have? And what are your parameters? I have a toadstool that was angry with me for the longest time as well.

Intensity
My sps weren’t growing at all so I slowly brought it up to 100% on all channels except for white which is at 30%

And what was it originally at for intensity?

Is that a mushroom touching it to right of the toadstool?

Half dead cap, it only has a few polyps that are regrowing on the right side.
It was at 70% went up 5% every few days (one channel every couple days evenly) until they were at 100%

I just lowered it to the sand bed and brought the arch with all my sps with it
Only fragged a German blue digi colony, I guess not all bad.

I think it was just too much light for it. It’s shed in the past and only takes a couple of days to get over it, it’s been weeks now. Hopefully I can find it a good spot on the sand

Fwiw my green toadstool is extended at 220 par. Mine likes light. In fact it grew its stalk from 2 inch above the sandbed to the top of a rock where sps is.

I use to have it in another tank getting blasted by mh with my sps. Maybe it just needs to adjust slowly to the LED’s
