Hi everyone

I am just wanting to gauge the interest in setting up a U.K. frag swap group. The intention is to be able to swap frags and help newbies get started.

The rules would be simple:
1) Frags are free, postage is not.
2) Quarantine every new frag.
3) Be honest of you have had AEFW/MEN/any pest. It doesn’t exclude you it just allows others to make an informed decision.
4) A swap log will be maintained to stop people just constantly taking showing a give:take ratio.

I will soon be offering various monti frags and porites along with ricordea.

Thanks
Zane

Don’t worry I can happily post. That’s why this will be a U.K. group.
Everything can be posted.

Are you after something? I really recommend the porites. It’s bulletproof and beautiful. Green base with hexagonal corallites. Tiny purple polyps.

I’m considering getting a pico up as my nano is pretty full due to my LPS thriving and needing to be fragged. However I’m happy to keep in touch etc. Did you bring any Kamoer FX STP back from your recent trip abroad? I remember you asking.

Anyhow, I will have to go look up the coral you mention unless you’re happy to post pics ;)

I am still in China at the minute but feel free to look it up.

Good question on the Kamoer’s!!
I tried two of them direct from Kamoer here in China. The first lasted 24hrs and the second one only lasted 3min. I gave up with that idea and instead put a very large all nylon fuel filter in front of my flow valve on my CA reactor. I have had no issues with flow since and remember I am not at home for 3 months at a time. I’ll be home much more regularly now that this contract is coming to a close.

I think the user that suggested it was Abhishek but I am not 100% certain but I am really happy with the result.

Don’t mean to hijack the thread but what did the fuel filter do?

It stops the sediment that would normally block the flow restrictor valve. I used to have to get my wife to open and flush the valve every 10 days or so which caused me loads of issues because it’s very difficult to put it back in the same position every time. My alk looked like a yo yo.
Now my pH is perfectly flat and so is my flow rate. It makes it nice and stable.

My pH stays within 0.01 of where I want it. I could do finer control but I really don’t care.

Wonderful!!
The more the merrier. Sorry guys I am out having a few beers but I will catch up and start organising and offering things on Sunday. I don’t have a huge amount but all I have spare will be getting posted.

I'm still waiting for my tank to be delivered, so you're further ahead than me ;)

Nope I am actually in china. I fly home in a few hours.

Where in China? I use to live/work in HK in the late 90's, now we're back in the States.
Have a nice flight.
