U V sterilizer guidance

Hello everyone. I've been looking into getting a sterilizer. I dont know much about them. Need help with size and flow rate . I have a 150 mixed reef. How good are these units for controlling algea/ parasites ? Is unlined better ? Need as much advice as I can get. Thank you all.

I run two on one of my tanks 220gallon 1-40watt and 1-50watt ho. On my 160 I actually run one 80watt oversized. I prefer the single over sized that I can speed up and slow down as needed. Believe it or not I have never had to speed it up for bacterial bloom. I think the over size it taking care of both at slower speed. If I had it to do again the other would be a single over sized uv.
