Tested the TDS out of my water. Seems my RO/DI buddy unit has been making some dirty water. I got 30 TDS. Glad the tank hasn't showed it.

I think I am going to get a new unit. The small unit worked when it was just a 10 gallon tank, but now I have closer to 30 gallons of water which I am changing more frequently and getting more evaporation from. The membrane is almost 2 years old. I think instead of buying a new membrane and filters it will be easier to just start fresh.

Trying to decide between a 90 gpd refurbished spectrapure (Link) or a BRS one 75 gpd value RO/DI (Link)

I don't think there is much of a difference. Supposedly the Spectrapures membrane has a higher rejection rate. Im searching through threads now.

Went with the BRS Rodi. After shipping from spectrapure the price difference was negligible.

Got the BRS RO/Di system going. TDS is a solid 0 ppm.:) Unfortunately there is a small drip from one of the fittings. But thats why I like BRS a quick message and they are sending me a new fitting .

I did my usual weekly water change and it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders :D. I hate neglecting my tank. It is weird how it eats away at me when I know I am behind on my maintenance. It is as if my whole world is spiraling out of control and then I change the water and everything seems better.

Tank is moving right along. I ordered more snails from reef cleaners. I ordered from John several times and am always delighted with what I get.

Picked up some frags and a bubble tip anemone at a frag swap today. Pics will come soon.

No pics yet. But I set up my raspberry pi and camera to stream my tank. I pointed it right at the bubble tip. Incase it lets go of the rock I could turn off the power heads from work..... Probably would be too late but it gives me piece of mind to know it is doing ok.

This is awesome. Can you share how you have set it up. I am building a raspberry pi based controller, could use some advice on integrating live camera feeds
