There Will be full tank shots coming eventually, two of my colonies almost died recently so half of my upper tank is kind of bare, and no one wants to look at what once was.. at least I don't... But here are some pictures of spot pieces. A lot of LPS and Zoas in this first batch but I promise I'm an SPS guy.

Here's the species/piece break down

SPS
Strawberry Short Cake
Blue Tort
Ice Fire Echinata
SC Simplex
Green Echinata type
Red Planet
Garf Bonsai
Baby blue stag (currently green and blue, don't really have a low enough light area for it right now)
Large Stag colony (forgot the name)
What used to be called ultimate Blue Stag
Blue milli
Sunset Montipora
Rainbow (mostly green) Montipora
Ridiculous red Cap

I also have a good amount of Rainbow Acans and Chalices (in the coloring up stages...can't pass up a good deal)

here we go

Got these as two micro polyps about 3 1/2 years ago, now 100+

Another shot from the GFs tank but I just picked up a colony of these (also coloring up)

Colony coloring up (now I know what you're going to say but I guarantee these are one and the same, I cut the frag off this colony, it colored up so I bought the rest)

My RBTA looking washed out... White balance is a *****... Some of the tentacles are actually turning orange and it has a deep vibrant red color to it, I'll work on better pix.

This thing is coloring up nicely, don't have current pic though

Very nice!! I'm definitely looking forward to your full tank shots, don't forget the tank details so I can steal some ideas! ;)

I'll get them (details) up on my lunch break, I gotta dig through a couple other forums so I don't have to type it all again

Here's a couple of more pictures, sorry about the algaes in the pix I treated with interceptor and went to LA. The girlfriend forgot to plug in the aqua clear with carbon in it. It was also 82F+ for a couple of days, needless to say there's some algae

Yeah, I'm just embarrassed about parts of my tank, I've gotta do a WC first. My LFS that I had been buying from switched salts on me, and I've been really lazy about mixing so I haven't mixed my salt completely (which I knew but didn't have time to do) and I've gotten some serious algae growth, I knew it was going to happen but I did it anyways. So now the turf algae's growing and the sawtooth made a come back. not to mention a little bit of cyano. Its hard only being in SD for 3 days a week, I'll do my WC tonight and get some pix up either later or tomorrow.

that's ok,
most of us are Home Reefers, and understand that very few of us have perfect tanks

I know, I just remember what it looked like when it was bumpin'. Finals, a move, and a crazy work schedule took its toll

I guess its time for that full tank shot. ugh. its hard to look at

Last Paly un id if you have an idea let me know, its a hard pic to judge but i like em

thanks, A lot of tghe pieces in my tank are a year or two older (some older) although chalices are younger (and bought when they are larger). I lost two larger colonies over the summer with my move and insane work schedule but I can't do anything about that now. I'm finding that its becoming easier to look at the tank because the algae is dying back again and the coral is growing faster. can you believe it takes between 30 and 35ml alk buffer a day to keep it around 8?!

Flow: MP40 on reef crest, all the way up, all day. Also a koralia 1400 evo for supplement (I need another powerhead too)
Light: Tek Light 4 bulb about 5 inches off the water, combo - f t b Blue Plus, Aquablue special, blue plus, kz purple plus (lights on from about 1130am-10pm)
Filtration: Aqua clear 20 running carbon and gfo (thank you BRS)
Skimmer: Remora Pro (on about half the time)

Supplements: 30-35ml daily part A B-ionic (I'm going to switch to powder forms), 2 ml Pohl's Xtra
Bi-monthly (Sundays) Prodibio Biodigest and Bioptom (1 vial each)

My tank would look a lot better but I followed dosing as per a friend, not how I dosed with PB in the past (in which I had super ridiculous results) so now I'm off the booster and taking my levels down again (gotta bleach that algae out).

Thats pretty much it, 10-15 gallon water changes weekly, although I went two weeks last week and had good results when I did the change with NSW, thanks roundhouse water, otherwise I was doing WC with Red Sea Pro (amazing stuff as long as its mixed completely)
