I have a really choice spot in my Chalice tank ,, its a large shelf piece of Live Rock ,, its up off the sand bed ,, kinda does two things in my tank ,, gives the fish a place to hide ,, it also makes my chalice tank look more like a display tank instead of a frag tank ,, my plan was to load this piece of rock up with Acan's ,, I haven't started buying Acans though ,, kinda in the back of my brain :) I was thinking of getting a frag of the UFO Holy Grail Micro ,, placing it onto the center of the rock and letting it grow out ,, the problem ,, I have never actually seen this coral with my own eye's ,, its not cheap ,, $300 to $400 for a couple of polyps from ASD ,, I am not against spending the money though ,,

My question ,, for those of you that have seen this coral ,, is it worth the $$$ or should I just go with my Acan idea ? I have read :) these Micro's can put a hurting on corals placed to close to them ,, so if I get the Micro ,, I might not be able to place acans up on that shelf piece of LR also ,, I don't mind just putting the Micro up there by itself and letting it grow into a colony ,, as long as its a nice looking coral ,,

It’s a stunning coral especially under blues but almost all acans look better under blues. The ufo HG micro is a very small polyp. When it gets colony size, the heads seems to get larger at least in the center of the colony.

I haven’t noticed it sending out stinger tentacles so I’m not exactly sure how aggressive it is. Although it seems different species of acans don’t play well together.
