it had been through ick, black ick, and purchased from petco... pulled through everything with some minor meds and has been living healthily and happy for like 3 months after all the treatment. sadly enough, i just found it stuck to the strainer of a powerhead dead!
VERY dissappointed...lol spent all the time recovering it from sickness bc of petco and it had to die from a pump.

Ah that sucks man.... Sorry to hear it. If I can commiserate with you.

I hadn't had this fish as long but got him last week. A YWG from a LFS that is a good shop.

Bought him and a small Tiger Pistol shrimp hoping they would pair up. The first day the YWG went crazy swimming around the surface of the water so I turned the lights off for the day. Every time the lights would come on he would go berserk and swim to the surface and stay there till the instant I turned the lights off.

Anyway after a few days he acted normal. Ate fine, stayed on the bottom, etc.

Yesterday I noticed a big line of bright purple in his face, under his skin, like a glowing bruise. It covered half of his face.

Today I come in and he's swimming weakly all over the tank. He ends up falling to one of my frag racks and it takes my Golden Dwarf Moray about 30 seconds before he comes out and drags him into the LR.

:(

Not too happy about it. Sorry about your Tang.

Aww that that sux man......I know how it feels to have a tiny fish that you see growing and doing well.....something to be proud of....we had a potter angel in our family tank that was 1" the family named it "harry Potter" and it grew over a 6 month period to 2" and one day I woke up and saw the coral banded shrimp that the Girlfriend caught in the tidepools chowing down on it... we were all sad....
I'm going diving tomorrow night and will be more then happy to catch you a tiny complimentry YT if you want one....It's easy for me to catch one if the diving conditions are good(visibility)..... just pay for the shipping....aloha Les

our newest little guy that we adopted id a tank raised tomato clown that was born with a crooked spine....
I think it will stay small for the rest of its life because the spine being the way it is will not allow it to grow bigger...anyways its on month 3 and doing really well...out little cutie at just 1" "Quasimoto"

yeah and Sorry to hear that nanonano.

wetpetshawaii- Thats awesome and thanks so much for the offer but i would be afraid to mix another set of tangs as many people say that you cant... i think i just got lucky with my pair on the behavior status untill one of them died... lol

no problem it's effortless to catch one in my net at night when the yellow tangs are sleeping in the finger coral....which is why I offered.....I spend about an hour in the water at night each week to catch fish.I catch what I need for the week and nothing more......usually about 10-12 then I proceed to look for other types of fish....I bypass a lot of them once I get the amount I need to sell for the week....1 more wouldnt hurt....:)
