Uggliest Frag Plugs!!!

Yes, Larry has disks. They do have posts on them but are easily removed with a wire cutter. Fahz also has disks. I know you know who that is. Little bit closer to you.

I just thought the BAF plugs were too fragile. The few I played with broke to easily IMO. I also hated the curing thing. But they work. The ceramic ones are stronger. And even if you get a broken one many times it is still useable.

FWIW Larry at Edens Gate Corals asked me to make the disks with the posts on them. I also have changed the design on the plugs and they look like the disks only smaller. They are a little stronger than when I was selling them and the post probably comes off easier. Sorry I do not have any pics of the new design.

Here is what the disks look like.

And here is what the plugs and disks look like before I fire them.

I will try to post some pics of frag stations after they have been in a tank for awhile. Right now I gotta run to FED EX and send Larry(Edens Gate) some frag plugs.

I saw a frag station at Bryans(PC) place when i went there. He had some awesome frags on it and coralline starting to set in.

I want to buy one myself....

Gooch YGPM....

Sorry I didn't get time for pictures today. My grandpa passed away and we had the wake today and the funeral is in the morning. So I have been kinda somewhere else. He was a WWII veteran and they did the salute tonight. I was fine until they started with the volley and the taps. Imagine playing a trumpet in -30 degree weather. It was moving.

gooch

Sorry to hear about your Grandpa best wishes to you and your family. I have lots of respect for Veterans.

Here is a frag station after a few months in my system.

This is a big-un made from the same material.

And this is a shot from my test tank after about a year. I do not remember exactly when I took this picture.

These pics are from the same rock in the last picture. Took it this week. That rock has been in the system for about 18-20 months. I know it is covered in pest anemone's, but it looks cool. I have only done the absolute minimum amount of maintenance on the tank. I just want to see what kind of abuse this tank can handle. I think the rock has held up well and minus the aptasia and pest anemone's it looks awesome. And unless I told you it was fake you wouldn't know. The orange zoanthids and a big chunk of the palythoa colony was removed from the tank and given to my brother. That's why the oranges are not in the picture and the paly colony is smaller.
