Well crud just got home from a being out all week and noticed GHA. Been fighting it off of a frag plug. After looking around I found a dang moth dead of course in the filter floss so I changed that out immediately and have a new water mixing up. Going to siphon out what I can off the crushed coral substrate and go get a few snails now that I have algae. Water parameters are as follows:

Salinity 34ppt
Alk 8.9-9.1
Phosphate .021
Nitrate 2 ( assume the algae is sucking that up)
Ammonia 0
Ca 440
Mg 1410
Guess I will get a 2 Astrea 3-4 cerith snails if the LFS has them. Anything else for 4g tank.

I'll sometimes siphon out the top layer of substrate along with whatever nuisance algae, rinse if off in fresh water, soak it over night in H2O2, rinse off again and return to the DT.
