What is this choking out my utter chaos? How do I kill them? I tried to scrape them off. They retract very quick. Ugly little things in the middle of my beloved zoas

I can’t quite tell with the lighting but it appears to be ether small starfish or aspacia but I can’t tell with the lighting just my 2 cents

Not aptasia, not starfish. They're like a clove polyp that are ugly brown color. Spreading pretty quick. When I scrape the rock I can't find any stems or where they go

Hmmm, you could try getting a photo and or video preferably both and talk to your LFS and see if they know anything otherwise I’m not sure. How many are there?

I think I see lots of clove polyps and maybe 1 aiptasia.

What do you do about clove polyps? I think there is one little aptasia in there. I can get him with ap-x. Those other uglies... that's where I'm lost

Hey brother. Definitely looks exactly like a clove polyp.

I would cut the chaos out and then get aggressive with eradicating those as they can spread quickly.

If it were my tank, I’d probably try Kalk paste on them and see how they responded. Can’t really tell by the photo if you could get that rock out of the tank. I would definitely do all I could to get the rock out though. Another out of the box option may be too get that two part adhesive that is used for glueing frags down. It comes in a tube and maybe you could get a big ball made up and push it on them to smother them. They sell it in purple so it blends with the rock.

Unfortunately a critter to eat them is probably out of the question as they would hit your zoos as well.

Hope you get it sorted out.

Check out how to eliminate blue clove polyps, yesterday just started the 2 time the fluke method with doubble dossage. Good luck
