yeah but at least i have a back up return pump lol but thats the truth. yeah the pump. took it apart and cleaned it with vinegar and when i put it back in nothing. i managed to get it running oddly enough by pulling it out and hitting the side of it. gonna need to replace it soon any way i got it used from a pet store so god knows how old it is.

Always have a backup on the skimmer as well.
Skimmer can be vital for a lot of systems due to the oxygen that it brings in the water not so much the skimming.

I agree on the pump and skimmer plus a few other backup items, like a heater.

Could be the impleller has swollen and doesn't rotate freely.

What's worse....return pump, ATO and not one but 2 power heads die all within 2wks!! [emoji33][emoji24][emoji24]

I had 2 skimmers pump and 2 powerheads all fail within days of each other.

Granted they were all ANCIENT.......

Yes it's the one in the picture, i managed to get it running for now. Not sure what's going on with it. gonna have to start looking for a new one though. Or at least a new pump.
