Uglies and pods

going through a phase of uglies. Tank has only been up 7 weeks and.
I noticed pods on the glass before I cleaned the alage off Monday. Was really pleased by the appearance of pods especially since I almost spent $60 for pods last week to add bio diversity.
So question should I buy phyto plankton to keep the pods alive or will that just extend my uglies phase?

Personally, I'd let it ride.. IMO adding anything else mid uglies tends to prolong the uglies...

You may need to especially if you aren’t feeding the tank for fish.

I do have fish. So I feed mysis and brine shrimp about an 1/8th of a cube.

Pods will live without phyto. Herbivores and scavengers.

Leave a little algae on your glass and they will be ok
