Ugly little bug! Dip your corals.

I am not quite sure what this is but it is really creepy looking. Just posting as a reminder to dip your corals ,no matter the vendor. I shop from many different vendors and have found things I don't want in my tank , so as precaution I always dip and inspect everything and if I am able to , I will remove the frag plug.

Ehhhh. I dipped my corals and then found all sorts of stuff under the coral (and still very much alive) when I accidentally broke the coral off of the plug while trying to wedge it in a rock

I prefer to remove everything from plugs if possible.

Because you're not doing it right-- supposed to remove it from plug, then dip, then mount to a new plug.

Bugs and things don’t live in the glue...... The liquid etc easily got to the base etc.

I think dipping helps, but I think a lot lives through it

CIROLANID VERSES SPHAEROMATID ISOPODS. When you know what your looking for, telling the difference between a Cirolanid (bad) versus a Sphaeromatid (good) becomes a lot easier. It's all in the eyes..... The eyes of the Cirolanid are generally closer together and towards the front of the head...
