Ugly stage

For how long this ugly stage will occur? I have a saxby lightning set up and I put it down a little bit, lastly I have a good filtration with my 3 tanks and 1 sump connected to each other

more than a year for my main tank and the rest is just new but connected to each other same water same filtration, and I use and new rocks for them but added some old rocks to them

I have a 2 clownfish, 1 hawkfish for my main tank, my corals is 2 toadstool leather coral, and my 2nd aquarium it has a 2 clownfish and same thing to the other one I'm trying to breed them

Guess you then feed a lot, if you have light, empty surface and nutrients due to massive feeding, something will grow, if no corals, then uglies.

If you get CUC so you have less uglies you then will have elevated levels in water as nothing soaks it up.

My best guess is to add fast growing soft corals to soak up nutrients from the heavy feeding.
